Introduction

I am an energetic, creative, and spirited individual with a Master of Architecture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Back in the Bay Area after three years obtaining my degree, I am searching for the best place to begin the next stage of my professional development.  I have a hands-on approach to architecture and enjoy being part of a team.

I have a wide range of abilities including modeling of architectural elements in both physical and digital media. I have worked in many physical media including wood carving, clay sculpting, glass and metal etching, oils, acrylics, charcoal, graphite, and silk screening. Frequently in the course of my studies I used physical models to refine form and study qualities of light. My thesis project included a 1”=1’ scale model to study how light entered spaces, curved around surfaces, and interacted with material. I believe that materials are at their best when you understand and take advantage of their inherent qualities.  I am a detail-oriented person who never rests until each aspect of the design meets or exceeds its potential.

I have been working with CAD, Photoshop, and Illustrator for 14 years. In the last three years I have become familiar with InDesign, SketchUp, and Rhino. I also have experience with DSLR cameras and the digital manipulation of images.
